The Red Rooster Harlem Boasts Delicious Southern Fare and Live Music Every Night

The Red Rooster-
The Red Rooster is not only a place for great Southern food in Harlem. Some of you might not know that is one of the places to go to for live music. Patrons of The Red Rooster Harlem are treated to live music every day of the week, while downstairs Ginny’s Supper Club provides a speakeasy scene that offers live performances and terrific cocktails. My favorite live music night is Tuesday. They have a live Salsa Band, a Salsa DJ and a free dance lesson. It cannot get better that that. Additionally, musical performances take place during “gospel brunch” on the weekends.

The Red Rooster restaurant and menu-
Soul food highlights of this beloved neighborhood hangout include a Harlem Chowder and crab fritters as appetizers, and the Yard Bird (with sweet potato, collards greens, and pickles) or Crispy Bird Sandwich for mains. Additionally, Red Rooster dishes out tasty Southern-style snacks including deviled eggs and “Marcus’ Cornbread with honey butter and tomato jam, which complement the crafty cocktail menu. Don’t skip dessert either- the renowned donuts, Meringue nest, and turtle cheesecake are all scrumptious southern sweets in which you can indulge.

Come for the famous Southern fare, and stay for the live music. If you haven’t been to The Red Rooster yet, grab your crew and get on over there for some great grub in a warm atmosphere with friendly service.
