Who doesn’t love a game night? Or maybe you’d rather watch the big game? Uptown offers great options for you to do both! And you may even want to stay for the food and drinks.
Hex & Company
Located on 112th Street and Broadway, Hex & Company is Uptown’s first board game café! They offer coffee & tea, beer, and light bites. And for $10 ($5 for students Mon-Thurs), you can choose from 1000+ board games for unlimited play.
Amity Hall Uptown
Located on 109th Street and Broadway, Amity Hall a great bar with a ton of beer options on tap. But it also hosts a trivia night on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. They have fun prizes such as books, theater tickets, DVDs, and games. It’s also a great place to watch your favorite team play!
Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor
Located on Amsterdam and 116th Street, Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor is a popular spot with Columbia students. And on Sundays at 7 p.m., you can test your trivia knowledge against the Ivy Leaguers.
This little gem is located on Frederick Douglass Blvd and 118th Street. Who knew a hot dog could be so delicious? BUT, they also have Trivia Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. and Bingo Wednesdays 6-8 p.m.
Located on Frederick Douglass Blvd and 114th Street, Row House just added an exciting event to their weekly calendar…Bingo night! The starting time is unconfirmed, but this will be a night to keep an eye out for.
This is a newer addition to the neighborhood, and absolutely worth checking out. Located on 142nd Street and Bradhurst, this chic bar offers great cocktails but you can even challenge your friends (or dates) to a game of Jenga or Connect Four.
Located in the heart of South Harlem, at 116th Street and Frederick Douglass Blvd, this is a popular spot to watch the hottest sporting event. Harlem Tavern offers a great food and drink menu, as well as a ton of big screens for your viewing pleasure.
Bierstrasse Harlem Beer Garden
Located by the water on 134th Street and 12th Ave, Bierstrasse offers a casual and warm ambiance. Come for the delicious German fare and stay for the Trivia on Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Grill on the Hill
This small sports bar, located across from City College on Amsterdam and 140th Street, is a perfect place to catch the big game. If you’re bored by the big game, you can just play a board game. And if their small library of board games isn’t enough, you can stop by on Monday night from 8-10 for some Bingo and Wednesday night from 8-10 for Trivia! Endless options for a small neighborhood bar.
At The Wallace
A Hamilton Heights favorite, At the Wallace is located on Broadway and 148th Street. They offer affordable drinks and tasty snacks, but once you have your libations, head to the back of the bar for some fun games. You can choose from giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, Shuffle Board, or an array of video games!
One of Washington Heights newest bars, Boxers is located on Broadway and 159th Street. It offers a gay-friendly atmosphere for you to watch all of the big sporting events.
Buddah Beer Bar
Located on Broadway and Fairview, Buddah Beer Bar offers a large selection of Beer (just in case the name didn’t give that away). But do you know what goes great with beer? TRIVIA! Stop by on Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. and you can have both.
Tryon Public House
Branding themselves as the “neighborhood pub,” this Inwood haunt is a great place to catch the game AND prove that you’ve got game. Take a ride up to Thayer and Broadway on Monday nights at 8 p.m. and you will have the chance to prove your Trivia skills.
Tubby Hook Tavern
Take a short walk up from the Tryon Public House to the Tubby Hook Tavern on Broadway and 207th Street, because on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m., they offer a great game of Trivia! Order some fries to power your brain because they’re delicious.
Indian Road Café
Inwood really loves their trivia! Come back on Wednesday at 8 p.m. to the Indian Road Café (Located on Indian Road and 218th Street) and you’ll find a very challenging round of Pub Trivia. They also offer a hilarious game of Drag Bingo on the last Thursday of every month.
