Newly Renovated Harlem Apartments
The newly-restored, landmark Dunbar Apartments was named in honor of the famous African-American novelist and poet, Paul Laurence Dunbar. Constructed between1926-1928 by John D. Rockefeller Jr. and designed by architect Andrew J. Thomas, The Dunbar occupies an entire city block surrounding a lush interior garden courtyard with an onsite management office. Recently renovated units are thoughtful, functional, and classically simple, with attention towards the practical necessities of modern living without compromising the beauty and detail of the Dunbar Apartment’s historical Harlem roots.
