There are many "must-see" landmarks in Manhattan Valley! One you might consider on your trip to MV….

Frederick Douglass Circle , Central Park West and West 110th Street

Named after the American abolitionist, women’s suffragist, editor, orator, author, statesman and reformer, Frederick Douglass Circle is located at the Northwest corner of Central Park at the foot of Frederick Douglass Boulevard and of Cathedral Parkway. Its features include a complex colored paving pattern that alludes to traditional African American quilt designs with wrought-iron symbolic and decorative elements, a water wall, and inscribed historical details with quotations representing the life of Frederick Douglass and the slaves’ passage to freedom. With Harlem-based artist Algernon Miller designing the paving and Hungarian-born artist Gabriel Koren designing the centralized bronze statue depicting a standing Frederick Douglass, there are many opportunities for fantastic photos for your scrapbooks!
